Mermaid/Under The Sea Party Planning

I'm planning my next party big party.  The Princess requested a mermaid theme... the only requirement that there be seashells. And cupcakes, of course! Easy enough. What fun it's been to do day-dreamy seashell crafts in the middle of winter in anticipation of Spring! Here are a few details:
Pretty pastel seashells. Adorned with Martha Stewart's paints in Sea Glass, Wintermint, and Antique Silk. Some of them alone and some all mixed together. Then a final coat of glitter to the whole lot for extra sheen and sparkle. The lil miss LOVES her some sparkle!
Seashell crafts for the kids to do. The ones at the top will be hung on a string or net as "examples". Then I will pre-paint a few more and set out glitter glue and gems for decorating. This was a big hit at our last party!
I reinvented a barely-worn Jasmine crown with some seashells and a hot glue gun. Fun & easy!
Made a pin from an old silk flower we had from yet another costume. Not done with it yet. May add some beads or pearls to it.

Much more to do, but well ahead of the game. Stay tuned for more details soon!
